Our first event is on Sunday 2nd April, supported by Eskdale and Annandale Discretionary Budget. Equipment is available for people to try the sport funded by Dumfries & Galloway SHAP fund and the Holywood Trust.

On the day those people who wish to play will be sorted into teams for a timed game of 40 minutes, or a score of 13 if achieved.

The players will then be arranged into new teams and play recommenced. This usually termed as a Mêlée. The winner for the day will be determined by number of games won, points scored, for and against. Medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third as determined by the aggregate scores.

Fun games will also be played throwing a boule, into an old tyre and knocking boule off of a traffic cone (without touching the cone).

Everyone is welcome from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Seaforth Community Petanque, Seaforth Gardens, Annan. This is an excellent chance for beginners to try out petanque. Come play french boules with the possibility to win prizes, participate in some entertaining games, get to know the club members, and enjoy a family-friendly day.
