HOW THE 'PISTE' WAS 'WON'
Construction began on the 1st August 2022 and was completed by September 2022.
The turf and topsoil were cut and removed by DumGal Council Street Scene Seaforth Depot and reused locally.
Crushed rock aggregate was imported from a local quarry and spread by machines to provide a playing surface.
A thin layer of grit was placed over the compacted crushed rock to provide the final playing surface. Timber sleepers were placed on top to separate out three playing areas. The largest is set out as six piste each 4 metres wide by 15 metres long. The other two areas are able to support three piste each 3 metres wide by 15 metres long.
